Members of the Texas Christian University bass fishing team have had some success in their few years of competition, according to a campus news service. The TCU bass fishing team launched in 2011.

Since then, the team, formed in 2011, has competed in a few competitive tournaments against other schools. In its most recent tournament, the team finished in fourth place out of 85 other teams competing on the Red River in Louisiana.

Like other college bass fishing teams, the TCU crew shows up a few days early for each competition. This lets them scope out where the fish are hiding, catch some, and drop waypoints on their electronics so they can return to the hotpots quickly during tournament play.
